The closest airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro International Airport in Porto. From Porto’s railway station (called Porto-Campanhã) there are direct and regional rail connections to Aveiro (check https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en/train-times for times and prices). The best way to reach the Porto-Campanhã railway station is to use the Metro, Violet (E) Line, which stops at the airport. The trip between the airport and the railway station takes about 32 minutes (Z4 ticket).

Aveiro railway station is located at about 20 minutes walking distance or 5 minutes taxi ride from the University Campus. The conference will be held at the Department of Communication and Arts, building 21 in this map: http://www.ua.pt/file/52280. The entrance door is located on the side facing building 14. You may want to print and bring the map with you, as taxi drivers are not always familiar with the location of specific departments.
